WYOMING!!!

We finally made it to the Ming today!! We all stopped in front of the big sign and took pictures, Mom was so excited and so was I. The temperature decreased almost as soon as we entered the cowboy state, it was sort of odd. This state is different than any of the others. Gone are the rolling fields and irrigation systems and in their place are golden brown outcropings, and oil wells! The mountains that were in the distance were amazing. There aren't any trees here so you can still see forever. Every once in a while you'll see a county dirt road that goes all the way up to the hills. The land is much drier here and yet it can snow anytime of the year! We saw a lot of little deer or antelope looking things that were really cute. Tonight for dinner we went into town and ate at The Aspen. This place was amazing. It was an old Victorian house so you can imagine that Mom loved it. We felt a bit under dressed since we didn't know what it was going to be like. We had our on little room upstairs all to ourselves. The food and waiters were first class. Mom and Dad said it was the best food they've had since the Greystone Manor was shut down. All I know is that it was delicious. Dinner consisted of the usual conversation and a bit of goofing around from me and Dad ;) We also went to an old west museum in Cheyenne which was interesting and that I have some pics of. Well tomorrows the big day. I'll get to meet my new bosses and the place that I'll call home for three months. I cant wait!! Until then, I miss you all and keep in touch!
These are the Pics from yesterday....sorry about the delay!

Nebraska!

Well here we are in Nebraska, just one state away from the fated Ming! Today we drove a little longer than we anticipated with some coaxing by me ;) We ran into some rain and actually had to pull over real quick. We had the best food yet at a fast food place! Its funny how that goes sometimes. I gotta say that im pretty much sick of sitting in a car, even with the beautiful scenery. Everywhere you look out here you see black angus and horses all over. Theres till the long rolling fields like in Iowa. I have a few pictures of our travels from today that im sure youve already seen. Im trying to get some sort of sign from each state we go through incase you couldnt tell :P One of the pics is of the 75 mile speed limit that we've been traveling pretty much the whole way, i thought Pam could tell Dave about that! We're staying at a Days Inn again tonight, when it comes to the end of the day nobody really cares where we crash. I hope everyone back home is doing well, I miss you all! Its time for American Idol ya'll so ill keep ya posted tomorrow when ill be in Wyoming!!! Peace out 8)

Iowa

Hello everyone! Well we didn't make it to Nebraska but we made it to Iowa. Today was another easy day on the road for me, towards the end of the trip dad was starting to get a little bit loopy and goofy but that's always welcomed! I guess i was suppose to say how we had a little trouble with the rental car situation yesterday. We got swindled into some insurance that we didn't need and that made my dad pretty upset because that was $120 down the drain. Needless tto say he embarrassed my mom a bit at the rent a car counter. You live and learn I guess. We went through Illinois and on our way out into Iowa we passed the Mississippi River. I have pics that I'll post of it. Here its a bit drier and more open than in New York. The farms are amazing with their flat fields that go on forever and huge irrigation systems. Out here there are a lot more beef cattle than milk cows. The land is rolling and pretty. It rained a little bit and they are calling for thunderstorms. That would be nice! We went out to eat at a chinese food buffet where i had alot of food to eat including frog legs!! I've always wanted to try them and they were really good! They tasted just like chicken mmm mm good! (Pic of me with the frog leg too)Tonight we might watch a movie if we can find anything good on. We had some trouble in our first room here at the Days Inn with the internet so we had to move to another room and now it seems to be working fine. I miss and love everyone! Leave me comments! I love em :)

First Day of the Trip

Well today was the first day of the trip to Wyoming or the Ming as I like to call it. We all are tired and are ready for bed by 10:30. We're sleeping in Sandusky, Ohio for tonight and hope to be in Nebraska by tomorrow night. Gas out here is $3.29 a gallon! When dad saw that, he was a little upset to say the least, haha. I miss everyone back home already! Tomorrows another day on the road, maybe a little more eventful than today for your sake :P Just a few more days and I'll really be there! Keep ya posted:)

P.S.- this is a pic of me and my gang at Sugar River, from the last post.
